This is a brand identity for a street taco joint in Kaka‘ako, a newly re-developed and thriving neighborhood in Honolulu, surrounded by elaborate street art and vibrant murals. The concept was for a modern taqueria and the goal was to bring the elements of the surrounding area into the brand or to “put the street into street-tacos.” The play-on popular 1980’s songs and sayings combined with graffiti text, bring an air of fun—while the logo draws on more traditional street art.
